My mother was born in a farmhouse on the banks of the Ohio river, a wise, wonderful, and well-loved woman. Her life was a testament to the power of kindness and the importance of helping others. My mother's peaceful passing at home, surrounded by family and compassionate caregivers, imprinted on me the profound importance of dignity and comfort in one’s final days.

Discovering Hallmark Homecare ignited a spark in me as it has for so many others, a modern solution to the key challenges faced by caregivers and aging adults. It’s a win-win for families who have more consistent access to experienced caregivers at an affordable price while caregivers experience better schedules with more desirable hours while earning a higher wage. This approach significantly impacts the lives of aging adults and the heart-led caregivers who are so often unsung heroes in our communities.

I am honored to enable others to live as fully and independently as possible, in the comfort of their own homes. This mission echoes my early vocation as an elementary school teacher, where I first learned the joy and fulfillment derived from serving and uplifting others. My wife, Jennifer, a Waldorf Kindergarten teacher, has been my constant inspiration with her dedication and the pure joy she finds in her purposeful work. After years in finance and healthcare, I longed for a return to work that touches lives directly.

My name is Tammy Kaninberg, and I am honored to serve as the Vice President of Business Development at Hallmark Homecare of Louisville. With over thirty years of dedicated service in the senior and healthcare industry, I am committed to guiding families through the complexities of care decisions with empathy and expertise.  The most important aspect of my role is being a resource and guide to families navigating journeys through the care decisions for their loved ones.

My background includes degrees in Communication and Business, and I am a certified Dementia Practitioner, which further enhances my ability to support and understand the unique needs of each family.  My greatest professional fulfillment comes from assisting families in swiftly and effectively finding answers and setting them up for success.

Outside of my professional work, my greatest joy in life was raising three wonderful children into adulthood with my loving husband, Jack. I cherish spending time outdoors, moments with family and friends, and enjoying the joyful company of our two dogs, Molly and Lola!

  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience
  • Professional certification (CNA, PCA or equivalent)
  • Legal ability to work (Proof of legal residency, green card, social security card, picture ID, etc.)
  • Clean criminal background check with a 7-year lookback

  • No state board or other disciplinary actions
  • Reliable transportation and a clean driving record
