Scott and Amanda were eager to leverage their experience as business owners and their love for people, to an industry with increasing demand, through a unique, market-disruptor opportunity. They will launch their Hallmark Homecare in two territories in the Des Moines, IA area.

Amanda has been an entrepreneur and community advocate for all her entire career. She has been involved in healthcare administration, hospice, and private duty services, and enjoys championing business ownership for women and several nonprofit efforts. Amanda most recently co-founded Vibrant Homecare (a traditional homecare agency), serving seniors and individuals with disabilities through the Medicaid Home and Community-Based Services program. She grew it to $8 million in revenue before successfully existing the business.
Amanda’s business partner, Scott, has spent his career in real estate. He has been part of multi-faceted marketing efforts associated with the industry, and is a licensed broker who has worked across the land development, investment real estate, and brokerage segments. Scott also believes in giving back to the community and serves in multiple leadership roles for his community’s non-profit organizations.
Hallmark Homecare is unlike the traditional homecare model because it’s a referral agency for caregiver recruitment and client matchmaking (the e-harmony of homecare). Clients save money, receive better care, and have more control. Caregivers earn higher wages and enjoy better work arrangements. Franchisees enjoy a simple model, earn handsome profits, and make a difference in the lives of others. The low-investment model has a fast ramp-up, is scalable, and provides recurring revenue.
