By leveraging Tony’s business acumen through nearly two decades in finance, and Lacey’s extensive experience in hospital medicine, critical care and urgent care as a physician assistant, we are dedicated to providing the highest quality in-home care, rooted in compassion and a desire to enhance the quality of life for aging adults in our community.

Over the course of what we consider to be a short lifetime thus far, we have experienced firsthand the delicate balance between living a life of dependence and independence. We recently watched Tony's 89-year-old grandfather's physical and mental health decline and as an adolescent, Lacey watched her mother's physical health decline. Both of these individuals were strong and independent caretakers but became people who needed full-time care. This is something we knew could happen, but we were not fully prepared for and learned by experience how crucial care can become. Our families looked to in-home caregiving in both of these circumstances to help assist with daily needs, and this experience taught us deep lessons about vulnerability, resilience and the profound impact of human connection.

During these times we struggled to accept that our once caretakers, who had provided and protected us, had reached a state of needing to rely on someone else. We struggled with the feelings of guilt and helplessness, torn between wanting to be the one to care for them as they did for us with balancing a full-time life and career that provided an income to support our family. We realized we couldn't do it all alone. We found navigating the healthcare system and access to resources overwhelming at times.

We eventually discovered the world of in-home care. Watching our grandfather and mother lose aspects of their independence - the ability to cook, drive and perform personal daily tasks - was heartbreaking. But by utilizing in-home care, we were able to recognize that asking for help was not a sign of failure, but a necessary step towards ensuring they received the care they needed and deserved. This also respected their dignity and provided comfort in the home that was familiar for as long as possible.

Having an in-home caregiver taught us that caregiving is a shared responsibility, and it doesn't diminish the love and devotion we have for the person we care for. Through these challenges and reflection in quiet moments of grace, we have learned that caregiving is not just about providing care, it's about receiving care too. And in that exchange, we find the true meaning of compassion. This is why we are so passionate about providing an accessible and affordable in-home care service and are dedicated to helping other families navigate through this process.
