With careers in the healthcare and senior living industries, father-son duo Patrick and Travis will launch their first venture together with Hallmark Homecare. They were seeking a profitable business investment that would also make a difference in the lives of seniors and their families. They will launch their Hallmark Homecare business in two territories in the Scottsdale, AZ area.
With an initial degree in Neuroscience from Brown University, Travis became an orthopedic surgeon to help patients like himself, a bilateral lower leg amputee. Standing in the operating room for long periods was too difficult with his prosthetics, so he has been seeking a new opportunity to engage his passion for helping people, and Hallmark provided the ideal partner opportunity with his dad, Patrick.
Patrick has been CFO for several companies in the healthcare software and medical device space. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Lifespace Communities, Inc., which consists of 15 senior living communities serving 5,100 residents, as well as Optimize Rx, which supports life science marketers to connect patients with treatment options.
Hallmark Homecare is unlike the traditional homecare model because it’s a referral agency for caregiver recruitment and client matchmaking (the e-harmony of homecare). Clients save money, receive better care, and have more control. Caregivers earn higher wages and enjoy better work arrangements.
