At Hallmark Homecare, we act as caregiver recruiters and matchmakers to facilitate a direct hire relationship for in-home care services. By cutting out the middleman, we create a mutually beneficial arrangement, lowering the cost for clients and offering better pay to experienced caregivers.

Kayla, a registered nurse, has always had a passion for caring for the those in her community. Her own grandparents, Pete and Pat, serve as her inspiration for venturing into the home care industry. Both well into their nineties, they have been able to stay in their beloved family home with the assistance of in-home caregivers. Over the last 60 years they’ve lived in their home, they welcomed seven children and now countless grandchildren/great grandchildren. Pete spent his career as the owner of Shawnee Service Center, an auto repair shop down the street from their home which was opened by his father over 100 years ago. Although the garage is now managed by his son (Kayla’s father), Pete continued to go into work six days a week until he was 89 years old. Pat worked at her neighborhood schools where she was lovingly known as “the candy lady” because she always had a jar of sweets on her desk. These days, Pete and Pat spend their days at home reading books and keeping an eye on their quiet street. Apart from normal age-related conditions, they remain healthy and of sound minds. Living so close to the family business, Pete and Pat host lunch five days a week for the friends and family who work at the auto shop. They have managed to stay in good health largely due to the fact that they have continued community and rich social connections.

Alistair, with his background in healthcare finance, understands how inefficiencies in traditional home care agencies can lead to high cost of care and high caregiver turnover. He recently completed his Master of Business Administration at Rice University. He plans to utilize his expertise to help guide families through the daunting process of finding care for their loved ones.
