Incline Village, NV (May 12th, 2022)Hallmark Homecare, a Referral Agency offering caregiver recruiting and matchmaking services to the elderly, is pleased to announce that Brandy Mikkelsen has been appointed as Director of Franchise Performance. Brandy brings a wealth of experience to the team as well as a passion for in-home senior care which makes her a valuable addition as Hallmark is positioned for fast-paced growth.

Brandy has had a personal experience witnessing the benefits of in-home senior care when her grandmother started receiving assistance from a caregiver in her home. This experience inspired Brandy to pursue a career in the senior care industry. She joined Home Instead’s corporate team based in Omaha, NE in 2010. During her four-year tenure, Brandy worked closely with franchisees as a Trainer and Business Performance Coach, helping them navigate the many challenges of running a traditional homecare business.  Brandy eventually went on to purchase and operate a Home Instead franchise in her home state of Texas.

In 2017, she and her family moved to Michigan to be close to her husband’s family. Brandy began working as a Training and Sales Consultant for the Global Sales Department at Amway Corporate, where she applied her experience of sales, networking, and marketing, as well as running a successful franchise business, to the direct sales market.  She had the opportunity to work with sales teams in the Amway affiliate offices around the world and build professional and personal relationships globally.

With an undergraduate degree from McMurry University and a graduate degree from the University of Nebraska in Psychology, Brandy’s career has focused on Organizational Psychology through training, coaching, and consulting.  In working with business owners and sales teams around the world Brandy found that a common theme emerged. She says, “The key to finding sustainable success in business is to first understand that there is no one silver bullet or solitary solution, but rather sustainable success comes from performing especially well in all the large and small aspects of the business, each day.  It’s the momentum of all the parts working well together that grows and sustains success.”

Brandy enjoys spending time with family, and this includes her five kids, ranging in age from 14 to 31 years old.  This means that most of her time spent outside of work involves attending her kids’ sporting events.  Her personal passions include running, reading, skiing, travel, horseback riding, and ballet.

Julie-Ann Parrott, COO of Hallmark Homecare states, “The Hallmark Homecare team is thrilled to welcome Brandy, a highly accomplished professional whose expertise and skill set are widely recognized within the senior care industry. With her impressive track record of success, extensive knowledge, and hands-on experience, Brandy brings a wealth of valuable insights and perspectives to our team. Her expertise will undoubtedly prove invaluable to our franchisees as they work toward achieving sustained growth and success. At Hallmark, we firmly believe that our franchisee’s success is our success, and we are confident that Brandy’s expertise and dedication will help us all to achieve our shared goals.”
